A windsurfing world in one city. Cape Town offers the full range of windsurfing experiences from huge Atlantic Ocean rollers to smooth and sheltered lagoons and lakes. It basically can deliver any type of windsurfing you are after. It makes it a great location to go if you and your travel buddies are at different stages in your windsurfing journey.

Best spots are Whitsand on the Cape Peninsular for some great wavesailing, Platboom for hardcore wave action on the very tip of Africa, Langabann Lagoon for smooth water.

Life in Cape Town is all about having fun on the water and off it. There is a great après windsurf scene in the suburb of Table View and the place is a great hang out between December and March when some of the world’s best windsurfers are in town during their off season.
