Kefalos offers conditions suitable for all levels. For beginners the light winds and flat water in the morning are ideal, however as the wind builds though the day the waves get bigger, providing conditions more suitable for intermediate and advanced windsurfers. The wind strength peaks at about 3PM. Winds are gustier close to shore, so the best spots are about a hundred metres off the beach. This is the best area for speed windsurfing as well, with several long runs.

In addition to that the water is warm and clear and there are plenty of long stretches for speed runs.

Kefalos bay

Kefalos Bay is located at the south west tip of Kos. Kos is an island in the Dodecanese sea which is very close to Turkey.

I've spent my holidays in Kefalos this year and it was absolutely great! The wind comes crossoff with an average force 5 and the water is dead flat in the massive bay. The center is stocked with the newest kit from F2 and north and the team is just hilarious! If you plan a trip to Kos then you definately should try Kefalos.
