While Niagara Falls gets all the attention, Montmorency Falls in Quebec quietly goes about its business. Standing at 84m high, Montmorency Falls is 30m higher than its more popular cousin. The park surrounding the Falls is a natural beauty, as you would expect of Canada, and miles of parkland trails, and a walk over the suspension bridge offers stunning views of the falls. After all of this summer-frolicking, you can then get a gourmet meal over at Manoir Montmorency, which dates back from 1781 and can be reached by cable car. The winter changes the landscape, though doesn’t extinguish the relaxing atmosphere, but if you’re feeling in the mood to test yourself ice climbing courses are available within the grounds on some pretty tough-going walls.
