Within the Hohe Tauern National Park, the Krimmler Falls cascade down in three huge tiers, dropping four or five hundred feet at a time and creating a jolly great crash of spray at the bottom. The highest in Europe, the best view of all three steps is from a desistance but there are trails thatlead you right beside it and a walkway over the top. Icily dramatic in winter, the water keeps gushing under the hard clear shell. Spectacular so popular with visitors, especially those with an eye for a photo.
