Listed under Waterfalls in British Columbia, Canada.
With a free 140 meter drop, Helmcken Falls is Canada's fourth tallest waterfall. It is located in Wells Gray wilderness park in central British Columbia, in a landscape shaped by ancient volcanoes. The spectacular waterfall plunges across a vast dark cavern in a basaltic lava cliff which was gradually hollowed out by the falls. There are many other beautiful waterfalls in the area as well as lakes and wildlife viewing opportunities.
