On Stewart Island, known for its dunes, high hills, and penguins, the North West Circuit is a series of tracks that showcase the natural beauty of the landscape. Tracks vary from three to eight hours, taking trackers into forests, along beaches, down sand hills, and over rocky outcrops. The circuit is recommended for more the more experienced and athletic because of the varied terrain and unpredictable conditions.
