This 70 kilometre circular route starts and finishes in Mui Wo and crosses Hong Kongメs scenic wilderness - a very different Hong Kong from what most visitors come to experience. Well marked trails and good signposting divide up the 12 different sections of the trail making it easier for day trippers. Some sections head up into the mountains passing the man made forest at Nam Shan, the Ngong Ping temples or Lantau Peak, while some sections hug the coast passing the Cheung Sha beaches or Tai O, a traditional fishing village. Each section varies in difficulty - from steep mountain scrambles to flat pathways.
