This is a fairly new long distance trail comprising several smaller walks. The first day of this eight day trip inspires with a visit to Skirrid Mountain (Ysgyrd Fawr) or The Holy Mountain and the trail finishes in the little town of Bethlehem near Garn Goch. The final two days are the hardest going but most of the trail is energetic walking. This is walking Wales at its best, green hills, nice views, church ruins. This site has a list of the accommodation available at points along the way: . I used it and found it excellent. You may need to be a bit flexible with your accommodation because the weather here is known for it’s sudden changes, however when I mentioned I was walking the way most of the people I spoke to said just to let them know if I was going to be held up and they’d transfer my booking. There are camp sites on this list as well, but I wasn’t keen considering my fear of bad weather. It may expose my age but if I have to take a day off walking in the middle of a trail for bad weather I’d rather spend it in the pub than in a sodden tent.
