Seven main pathways criss cross the Kruger National Park, the Olifants Trail being one of them. Following the path of the Olifants River as it carves out spectacular gorges between the Lembombo Mountains and the flood plains of the river basin, the trail traverses crocodile, hipppo, buffalo, elephant and water bird territory. The river is also a prime spot to meet Pel’s fishing owl and the African fish eagle.
