Sabalan

An inactive volcano in a scenic, mountainous and rocky part of Iran, a crater lake has formed in what was once the mouth and there is a ski resort on one side. The sweeping vistas make Sabalan attractive to trekkers and climbers, the natural hot springs attract visitors seeking relaxation rather than adventure.
