Diamond Head is one of the easiest and least dangerous volcanoes to visit. It is unlikely that it will ever erupt again and it is located on a beautiful tropical island. You can walk all around the crater on a comfortable paved trail and through a tunnel carved into part of the crater. Most tourists walk up it because of the view.

Worth it.

The hike itself is not difficult. Make sure you keep hydrated and watch out for the foot traffic. Other than that, the view when you reach the top is awesome. Definite must to hike.

How long did it take you?

@ Jenny- if you do not get caught up in foot traffic or stop to take numerous pictures, then I am sure you can make up up and down the hike within 45min- 1hour. When we got to the top, we took quite a bit of pictures. I didn't feel the hike was that long.

Oh good! Thanks for the details.

No problem :)
