For a peek at the iconic, glamorous days of early Hollywood, the Virginia Robinson Garden is a must see destination. The iconic mansion on the Robinson estate was built in 1911 and was one of the first homes in Beverly Hills. In its early days, the mansion hosted legendary parties with notoriously famous guest lists ranging from the Duke and Duchess of Windsor to Marlene Dietrich, Fred Astaire, Glenn Ford, Lillian Disney, Elvis Presley, Sophia Loren and Charlie Chaplin.
Today the estate is a historic landmark regarded as the birthplace of Hollywood. Tours guide visitors through the mansion and around the equally famous gardens. The gardens, central to the estate, are regarded for their exotic collection. Sweeping across six acres, the garden features an Australian King Palm Forest, bucolic Rose Garden and Italian Terrace Garden. In addition to tours, the estate hosts several events and classes.
