Some horses are excellent dancers. Lipizzan horses are famous for it, especially when they’re trained to perform complex classical dressage to music. And the Spanische Hofreitschule is where the prima ballerina ponies get their training. As well as training there are regular performances here and in the Winter Riding School, part of the Hofburg. In the performances you can expect to see the newer Stallions perform the basics then the older horses perform all the movements of the classical training before they’re sown in pas de deux and quadrille formations dancing together.
