The Rockefeller Center is an inter-connected complex of 19 buildings in mid-town Manhattan. Every winter they construct an ice rink in the Lower Plaza and erect an enormous, lavishly decorated Christmas tree that is definitely worth a visit for an emergency injection of "Christmas cheer". Running underneath the Center is a network of concourses that connect the buildings from below. It is a secret that has somehow escaped the masses and is the perfect way to get between the buildings in the winter whilst doing some shopping in any of the retail stores that adorn the corridors. You can also use it to connect to the subway.
