This was a site that was run by just nine men to regulate emigrant traffic in 1847. It is believed that the ferry site was moved several times during it's short 6 year operation.

The Ferry was then attacked by Indians in 1856 where all were killed but one young girl. You can now visit this site along the Green River in Wyoming.
