The annual National Western Stock Show is the world’s largest stock show. More than 100 years old, the National Western Stock Show is now a charitable event that creates college and graduate level scholarships for the practice of agriculture and medicine in rural areas. Intended as a 16-day trade show for North America’s ranching industry, the event has become a huge draw for domestic and international visitors of all trades. Annually, more than 15,000 heads of livestock, 350 vendors and 600,000 guests attend the show. Popular events include bull-riding, Mexican Rodeo shows, dancing horses, a Wild West show and a llama show. Still serving as a trade show, millions of dollars are transacted daily.

For a glimpse of a massive international ranching industry and rodeo culture, this event is a world renowned must-see. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time, and visitors are advised to book accommodations well in advance as lodging does begin to fill up.
