The Milwaukee County Zoo is home to over 2,275 mammals, reptiles, birds, fish and amphibians and has over 330 species. The zoo was created in 1892 and moved to its current location in 1958 spanning 200 acres.

Some displays at the zoo are the Primate Building, Monkey Island, Grizzly, Polar and Brown Bear dens, Aquarium/Reptile and Australian Buildings and many more. The zoo also includes a gift shop and even a hospital! Some of the most exciting animals here include the Pacific Giant Octopus, King Penguin, Chinese Alligator, Two-toed Sloth, African Elephant and Snow Leopard.

This zoo is dedicated to helping endangered species and even helps breed some of them including penguins and rare apes. The Milwaukee County Zoo is open all year round and has varying prices from free for children, to 11.75-13.25 for adults in the summer.
