There’s even a chance to take in a play or two at the theatres in what is essentially a little haven in the middle of the city.

Granville Island has one numerous awards for its great neighbourhood feel and it’s not hard to imagine why as you wonder through the markets. City planners from across the world are flocking to the island to see how to do it right but that’s not really of much concern as you taste some truly great food – fresh fruit and seafood, beautiful fudge and then there’s all the flowers and other items to see!
