Like a giant street light in a field, the Donauturm or Danube Tower is the second tallest man made structure in Austria. It’s concrete, and looks like a giant broadcast mast, which is its main function. It also has a couple of revolving restaurants and a look out level for visitors. 776 steps or a 35 second life ride will give you a pretty good view of Vienna if you enjoy that sort of thing.
