150 years ago Hong Kong Harbour was crowded and full of exciting ‘goings on‘ involving taipans and opium dealers. Now it’s much cleaner and more organised but you can still admire the city from this vantage by taking a cruise in a Chinese Junk.
The Duk Ling is one such restored junk. Built 50 years ago in Macau, the iconic sails of the Duk Ling are now almost alone on a harbour which used to be filled with junk sails.
The round trip cruise from the eastern edge of Victoria Harbour via Kowloon, Lei Yue Mun Fishing Village and Causeway Bay takes around an hour.
