This route was taken by many travelers to try to get safely from Cheyenne to Deadwood without being attacked by Indians. This route could have both 4 person coaches or 18 passenger coaches on it's path.

The Deadwood coach itself was displayed around the country by Buffalo Bill in his Wild West Shows. The Deadwood Stagecoach itself currently sits in the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming.
