Canada’s Wonderland theme park is one of North America’s premiere amusement parks, with more than 200 attractions and around three million visitors a year. Just outside Toronto, the park that was formerly known as Paramount Wonderland, has more hair-raising, stomach-splurging rollercoasters and other insane rides than you can shake a candy-floss stick at.

Thrill rides of note include The Bat, a rollercoaster where you go backwards before going forwards, the Time Warp, where you lie on your stomach in a car suspended from overhead to take the ride in ‘face-first’ and develop a fear of flying (presumably) and the newest attraction, Behemoth – the biggest, fastest and tallest rollercoaster in Canada, with the first drop coming from around 230ft up in the air. There’s also the Splash Works water park situated within Wonderland. This has sixteen water slides and Canada’s largest outdoor wave pool; so prepare to get wet on a visit to Wonderland as well as pulled in every conceivable way by the rollercoasters. Enjoy!
