The best way to experience a traditional way of life is to spend an afternoon in a village. Whether it is a traditional British church and picket fence farming community, a Vietnamese fishing community built on stilts on the coast or a tiny mud hut township in Africa, villages are where you will find people living traditional, basic and sometimes archaic lives. There is a wealth of experience to be found in the world’s villages and if you’re lucky, the memories you take away will be as varied as the villages themselves.
