Bright flashing lights in weird and wonderful shapes, music and palpable wealth: really called Las Vegas Boulevard South, a four mile section of the most glitzy of Las Vegas road, The Strip incorporates everything Vegas about Vegas. If you’ve ever seen a film or TV show set in Vegas, The Strip is where you probably got your impression of the city from. It starts by the airport, marked by the famous ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign and is officially the piece of straight road between hotel casino, The Stratosphere and hotel casino, Mandalay Bay. As well as the historic Vegas landmarks like The Dunes and The Sands, The Strip is also home to some of the mega entertainment/ hotel/ casino resort complexes like The Mirage and the MGM Grand. As well as gazing in awe at the look-at-me buildings which line The Strip, visitors can also see some free entertainment: the Bellagio’s musical fountains, the Sirens show at Treasure Island and the white tigers at The Mirage are some of the most popular, go to one of the theatres or show room venues or gamble - pretty much anywhere.
