A borough, a beach, a nightclub and a song. The beach is 4kms long and the reason the borough is known, which is the reason the club took the name and the song sings about the club. The bit of beach called Copacabana starts at Princess Isabel Avenue and finishes near the Fort de Copacabana. The promenade has an attractive wave pattern on it and hotels, restaurants and clubs along it. Back from the beach there are a lot of high rise apartment blocks. If you’re at Copacabana beach there is a good chance you’re here for New Years or the World Beach Soccer Championship.
