Rather than traditional tree-houses, these hotels looking across Lake Baroon in Queensland are more like four star luxury pads that happen to be on stilts. Each house has an individual theme and has been designed by a local artist with its specific theme in mind. They all have sunken Jacuzzis next to the huge glass windows for you to enjoy views of the rainforest and the lake whilst you’re in the tub. They also have a huge balcony with a barbeque where you can cook for yourself or you can order room service which they will hoist up to you. Despite being grouped in the same location, the tree-houses are very private and unless you descend to swim in the lake or get some dinner, you’ll only have the possums, kookaburras, bower birds and other forest residents, for company.
