This converted lighthouse sits in the middle of the busy Harlingen harbour where it used to warn boats away from the harbour’s sandbanks, and instead today, provides amazing panoramic views of out to see and of the seaside town of Harlingen. The interior is over three levels in the very top of the lighthouse and is only suitable for two people at a time. There is a chic boutique bathroom on the lower floor, a bedroom with a custom made bed on the middle floor and on the top floor you can eat your dinner and enjoy the views underneath the original copper roof whilst listening to which boats are doing what in the harbour over the VHF radio. The lighthouse has all modcons, including binoculars and wind-speed and direction metres, but no kitchen. Fear not, the Lighthouse keeper will climb up the 80 or so stairs herself to bring you your breakfast in the morning.
