For some a holiday means getting away from it all. For others it really means getting away from it all. If you think off the beaten track just isn’t far enough away then try the Edisto River Treehouses. The treehouses sleep 2-8 people depending on what you’re after. Tucked into the woodlands, nestled in the trees by the river’s edge they’re solid constructions using lots of local material. Although they’re treehouses, they are pretty well-furnished with kitchen, futons, outdoor grill and dining deck. Basically the only problem is going to be owls keeping you up.

Edisto treehouse experience
There is no food provided at the treehouse so pack accordingly. Several reviews online report that a breakfast is provided. Not the case. Also, area is fairly remote with no cellular service, would recommend advising a plan in the event of an emergency. BugNet is a must! Many Palmetto bugs. Canoeing down the Edisto River was enjoyable even for a novice paddler.
