Is it art? Well, kinda… Calling itself an art hotel, the Daddy Long Legs is a pretty unique place to stay, its 13 rooms have each been decorated by a different local artist and not all of the visual kind either – some are poets and musicians, so you’re staying in art. Art based on something to do with Cape Town or an interpretation thereof. All the rooms are doubles with bathrooms – so it’s not quiet a hostel in the traditional sense – and there are communal living and dining spaces and a balcony and of course a bar.

It’s pretty impossible to describe the different rooms – you’re going to have to just check out the photos….

Don’t expect hostel features like free breakfasts or free internet access in the rooms (but both are avaiable on request) – this is closer to a hotel.
