There are loads to see in what the British once considered India’s “Summer Capital.” A variety of temples are open to the public, including the Jahkoo Temple, well-known for its history and its lofty position on Shimla’s highest mountain. The city is also the locale for a number of festivals and fairs, Shimla State Museum, The Mall, a popular shopping district, as well as many other places of cultural and historical interest.
