Ponta Negra is one of the most famous and popular spots in Natal, Brazil. What was once a small fishing village is now a town in a state of constant development. Hotels, restaurants, and shops have sprung up, transforming Ponta Negra into a tourist town. The beach lifestyle attracts people here - but be aware that Ponta Negra is not an ocean beach, it lies on the Rio Negra, making it a river beach. However this doesn't detract from the fact that there is always plenty of sunshine and a nice breeze blowing along the sandy beach.
