While on the surface it may appear to be just another picturesque harbor town, there is more to Ebeltoft than meets the eye. The longest wooden ship in the world, 19th century Fregatten Jylland, rocks nonchalantly in the frigate harbor and fires its cannon daily. Nearby, Glasmuseet Ebeltoft is a famous museum that displays contemporary and international glass art. Churches and other structures from centuries past are nestled into many nooks and crannies within the town’s medieval streets, but Ebeltoft’s Old Town has a more concentrated number of architectural and historic delights.
