Set on top of Pavagadh Hill overlooking the other-worldly scene of the only pre-Moghal Empire city to have survived unchanged until the present day, the this temple is a wonderful structure. It has a stately feel, fronted by tall, pale columns and ornately carved, all on a grand scale. Many pilgrims visit each year to pay their respects to the goddess Kalikamata, the earth mother.
