Listed under Surfing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Even though I’m not really into surfing, I decided to tag along with my brother on the surfing tour he went on with Brazil Expedition. I love the beach, so I didn’t mind being on my own down on the sand while he was off in the water. Plus, I figured it would be a cool and affordable way of getting to know other beaches in Rio (I had heard many people say that catching a taxi cab down to Barra beach could be a bit pricey). Tagging along was the best thing I did!! Barra beach goes on for miles and miles of golden sand and clear blue water. At the end of the tour, my brother and his surf instructor convinced me to try and catch a few waves, and I gotta say, to my surprise, I wasn’t half bad! I highly recommend this tour, it’s not only for surfers!
