The second-oldest ballpark in the Majors and home to the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field is one of America’s most popular culture theatres. Named after the chewing gum magnate who took over the team at the start of the 1920s, the stadium houses 41 118 fans, making it the fourth-smallest ballpark in the Majors.

Though it may not quite have the standards of the newer stadiums, it has an intimacy and strong tradition that permeates a special atmosphere into the bleachers. It’s the site of many famous baseball landmarks, such as Babe Ruth’s “called shot” where he allegedly pointed to a spot in the bleachers and then hit Charlie Root’s next pitch for a homer.

Even if you’re not a baseball fan, Wrigley Field is great for hot-dogs and soaking up some American culture that still feels authentic and not a pastiche, helped by the fact that Wrigley Field hasn’t completely sold-out to advertising like other American venues…yet.
