The Camp Nou has hosted some of the finest football players in the world since its construction in 1957. As the home of FC Barcelona it has seen the likes of Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Johan Cruyff and Maradona pull on the famous shirt.

It has also been a theatre of drama, epitomized by Manchester United snatching the Champions League title in the last few minutes of stoppage time from Bayern Munich in 1999. There was also the infamous return of former player Luis Figo to the Camp Nou with fierce rivals Real Madrid, which resulted in a pig’s head being thrown onto the pitch at the ‘Judas’ Figo. The stadium has a capacity of 98,772 making it the largest in Europe and the atmosphere within the stadium is a positive reflection on this number, with many football fans seeing it as a Mecca.

‘Més que un club’ or ‘more than a club’ is the motto of FC Barcelona and the Camp Nou is more than just a stadium. The stadium houses the El Museu del Barça, the most visited museum in Catalonia, which shows the glorious history of the club. The Camp Nou has also played host to some of the biggest music acts such as Michael Jackson and U2, while over 120 000 people celebrated mass with Pope John Paul II in 1982.

Cost and duration of tour

I know I can hop off the tour bus at Nou Camp, but do I need to book the tour in advance, what is the cost and duration and, most of all, is it worth it?

Football in Barcelona

The football experience in Barcelona is definitely and without any doubt an amazing experience. There are two international football teams in the city:

FC Barcelona playing in the Camp Nou stadium (100,000 seats) and RCD Espanyol playing in the Olympic stadium (56,000 seats).

Football in Barcelona is an excellent entertainment option for one evening, and also those who are not familiar with the game or not so interested, have to see in order to believe to the exemplary order and the atmosphere in the famous Camp Nou stadium. It is recommend to go one evening to see FC Barcelona team in a game in front of thousands of fans in the stadium.

The experience is amazing. 100% pleasure guarantee!!!

Camp Nou

Camp Nou is the stadium home of FC Barcelona, one of Spain’s most successful football clubs. Guided tours of the stadium run daily, and include access to the FC Barcelona museum, which chronicles the club’s history and gives information about its famous players. You can also see the inside of the changing room, walk through the tunnel and get a player’s-eye view of the pitch.
