The Israel Museum is a fascinating repository of archaeology, art and Judaica. The archaeological section shows a history of Israel in seven chapters, from Prehistory through Biblical and Herodian times to the Islamic period. The Judaica section shows important Jewish ceremonial art and artifacts. Museum highlights include such famous treasures as the Dead Sea Scrolls.
