The Bruce Museum

Listed under Museums in Connecticut, United States.

The Bruce Museum is composed of an interesting mix of collections; artwork, artifacts of natural history, and scientific dioramas are just a few of the items on display in this well-respected Connecticut institution.

In spite of housing a somewhat jumbled group of relics, it works well for the Bruce Museum. The happy marriage of local fossils and Chinese textiles, 20th century painting and Native American beadwork is what differentiates it from other museums.

The Bruce also features a rotation of traveling exhibitions that further enhance the depth of their collections. These range in content from teen artwork to jewelry, and can be enjoyed by self-led, docent, or audio tour.
