The Memphis Rock N’ Soul Museum is located on Beale Street in Memphis. The museum is dedicated to the hardships and obstacles that were overcome to change the world of music forever, as well as the culture of the world.
This museum was the first Smithsonian Institution to be located outside of Washington D.C. Some of the current exhibits include Rural Culture, Rural Music, Coming to Memphis, Sun Records & Youth Culture, Soul Music, Social Changes and Bravo Gallery.
The museum is open daily from 10am-7pm and has tours starting until 6:15pm. Admission for the museum is $11 for adults and $8 for youth aged 5-17.
