An excellent sampling of colonial America is found in the modest town of Litchfield. Without the pretense of cities such as Williamsburg or Boston, the Litchfield History Museum gives visitors the opportunity to experience life in New England through a variety of collections including artwork, furniture, and artifacts from daily life.

Additionally, visitors can explore the Litchfield Law School, the nation’s first, which educated such notable figures as Aaron Burr.
