The John Brown Wax Museum is located in Harper's Ferry in West Virginia and is a short distance from Washington DC, Baltimore, Frederick and Winchester. This museum is a dedication to John Brown, an abolitionist against slavery. Brown has become infamous for leading a slave uprising which killed several people and freed no slaves. This revolt happened at Harper's Ferry and the location commemorates the events that happened here. The museum has dioramas of the massacre and the viewers walk through the building and watch the horrifying events unfold.

Death and violent acts are aplenty here and the museum's atmosphere resembles that of a haunted house.

Tickets range from $5-7 depending on your age and the museum is open 7 days a week mid-March to November and only weekends in December and closed on Thanksgiving.
