The Hirshhorn Museum helps visitors understand and appreciate the beauty of contemporary art. The Hirsshorn has three different levels for viewing and all should be explored. This museum is part of the Smithsonian Institution as well as 19 other museums. Some notable artists in the museum include: Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Mary Cassatt, Thomas Eakins, Henry Moore and Jackson Pollock among many more.

Outside of the museum contains a sculpture garden including pieces by notable artists including Auguste Roin, Jeff Koons and Alexander Calder. This museum is open all year round and admission to the museum and the gardens are free.
