A museum important to Portland residents, the Children’s Museum of Maine welcomes visitors as well. Founded in 1946, the museum is the sixth oldest children’s museum in the United States. With a mission to “inspire imagination, creativity and the wonder of learning in children and adults,” the museum has exhibitions for everyone.
