A really exciting addition to the Four Seasons, having both a spa and fitness centre, one of Hawaii’s great relaxation centres. There is an open-air gym with a grass yoga and meditation courtyard, Olympic-size pool, beach volleyball, tennis, a whole host of watersport activities, a climbing wall, kickboxing, hiking, water and regular aerobics, and tai chi. Then unwind with hot stones, a handsome array of massages, acupressure, myofascial release, siddha abhyanga with medicated oils or an ayurvedic foot treatment. The spa’s signature treatments include aromatherapy-based Hualalai Essential Harmony and the South Seas Sugar Scrub – a skin polish treatment of Hawaiian cane sugar, coconut and honey. Decadence indeed.
