Golden Door

The full experience is as the spa’s name seems to imply – not just a series of treatments leaving you feeling mired in enforced relaxation, but a personally tailored schedule of care inspired by the philosophy of the Japanese Honjin inns, designed to convert you into the person you would like to be by the time you come back through the fabled door. Your time will be filled differently depending on your individual aims (diet, fitness, beauty or stress management, for example) but regardless of what these are, you will share the staff’s attention with no more than 39 other ladies and when you’re not in a treatment room or gym, there are miles of hiking trails and jasmine-filled Japanese gardens to enjoy, and your own gorgeous room to bliss out in.
