The Buckstaff Bathhouse in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is the only remaining bathhouse in what was once a popular travel destination for those wishing to take the waters. What is most amazing, perhaps, is that visitors are still invited today to take mineral baths in the original historic building.

Prices are inexpensive compared to other spas, and the experience is unforgettable. Although unsure if I truly believe in the physical healing properties of these mineral baths, I do know this: after an afternoon of gleaming white and blue tiles, hot steam, and friendly staff, even the most cynical participant would feel mentally renewed.
