St. Anton is pretty perfect if you’re looking to source good freeriding terrain, yeah it’s a big, busy resort but there is PLENTY of good off piste decorated with a sprinkling of trees and some rock hazards as well as powdery snow.

The reputation for being expensive and crowded with glamour-puss skiing types is too true but those guys don’t want to share the off piste with you and the skiers that do are a far more friendly breed. But the accommodation and food prices are expensive and the attitude a bit ‘Don’t you know who I am!’.

St. Anton is linked to Lech, St. Christoph and Stuben if you want a change, but with a park and all that off piste you won’t be bored in the daylight hours.
