Snorkelling in the Red Sea

Listed under Snorkelling in Egypt.

Take a trip to Egypt and go for a swim in the Red sea a wonderful experience looking at the lovely coral and not forgetting the wonderful colours of the fish. Real swimmers can go look at the wrecks for another experience in the red sea. Sharm el Sheikh is a world-class diving destination due to the high quality and diversity of the coral and associated marine life.

With its year round sunshine, warm waters and outstanding visibility (typically 20 to 30 metres) Sharm el Sheikh provides an underwater wonderland for divers and snorkellers of all levels of training and experience.

Dive sites include the protected Ras Mohammed and Tiran National Parks and the wrecks of the SS Dunraven (1876) and the world famous World War II merchant ship, SS Thistlegorm (1941).

Taba Snorkelling

While you're enjoying a long relaxing beach side holiday that you've been waiting all year for - Taba offers the best way to cool down in the 40+ summer heat. Snorkelling is just a 10 metre walk from the water front running the length of Taba Heights. As you wade in, hundreds of differnt eloquent and colourful species of fish and coral are there to behold. The Sofitel and Hyatt hotels offer lengthy piers which enable you to lower yourself into the extensively exotic reefs where you can snorkle to your hearts content. Even if you don't fancy a swim, the views from the piers are still exquisite.
