Best beginners snorkeling in Hawaii, sheltered and coral bottomed water running along the edge of Oahu’s north shore in a cove protected by a natural rocky barrier which protects this spot from the north shore’s mighty waves. Clear water and white coral sands make it easy to see the fish which is perfect for impatient children, who will easily spot unicorn fish, jacks, goat fish, trigger fish, wrasse, perch, box fish and brightly colored tang. The Turtle Bay Hilton is nearby which has less interesting waters and surprisingly few turtles by comparison, but it means there’s food and facilities on site.
