Spindleruv-mlyn Ski Resort

Listed under Skiing in Czech Republic.

The resort of Spindleruv-mlyn is the most popular ski resort in the entire Czech Republic. The town itself lies in the aptly named Giant Mountain National Park and has an area of around 77km. In the off season, the town is resident to around 1,300 inhabitants but as soon as the ski season begins this shoots up to over 15,000, making the area a lively and fun place to be. The resort has around 25km of downhill slopes and is serviced by 4 chair lifts and 11 ski lifts. The resort is host to a variety of world-class competitions and has truly excellent facilities. The views of the Giant Mountains are thrilling and it’s possible to see Snĕžka, which is the highest point in the Czech Republic. As well as skiing for all levels of ability, the resort also offers you the opportunity to try snow tubing, paragliding, and try out their bobsleigh track.
